Coffee Conundrum Solved & Value Village Discounts!

Coffee Conundrum Solved & Value Village Discounts!

This weekend we headed to Community Natural Foods on 61st Ave SW and found bulk coffee beans! I went to their bulk section only to be disappointed that they too didn't have bulk coffee but for some reason I just asked even though I didn't see any. She said for sure and pointed me to the coffee isle where there are many options of DELICIOUS bulk coffee beans. Most coffee beans range from about $3.50/100 grams which made me think how many grams are in a pound and also confirmed I am a crazy lady when it comes to math. I got way off track with how many grams are in a pound of coffee. I simply thought ... 1000 grams was 1 pound of coffee. I'm not sure where I got this fact from but it is very very very wrong. 1 pound of coffee is 460grams of beans. This means that Cafe Rosso, although still pricey for an option isn't crazily expensive! I am so excited to have bulk coffee beans available. A pound of coffee is going to cost you roughly $14/$15! Community Natural Foods is a bit pricier when it comes to bulk items verse Superstore but they do have more options when it comes to baking supplies, whole wheat pasta options and organic items. When you get discourage in this whole Zero Waste Home venture you just need to take it 1 item at a time and if you can change that 1 item than great and if not, try another item. Every little bit counts. It's very similar to problem solving in any area really. It applies to purging too, If you can't part with your sentimental items than start in your kitchen gadget drawer! Speaking of purging...

Did you know that when you donate to Value Village they will give you % off card to shop within Value Village? Today I dropped off a bag of random things we no longer needed and I got my whole card filled up a whopping 30% off my next purchase! Definitely motivates me to donate to Value Village!

Just remember - 1 item at a time.
