Loving YYC Spring and Laundry!
Our little family has been loving Calgary and the early spring weather we have been experiencing. We have been getting out daily to explore our neighbourhood on bikes and meet up with friends for Friday dinner picnics at various playgrounds around the city. Now that the wee cubs are a bit older, we can stretch our bedtimes a little bit (haha so maybe 6:45pm/7:00pm) and let them roam around new playgrounds. I discovered an awesome website called Calgary Playground Review that you can search by city quadrant to find information about playgrounds. Dana, the website owner, has reviewed each playground and includes details under these categories: location, community, parking, age range, ground coverage, shade, features, surrounding park area, accessibility, seating and an overall assessment. So far our favourite new park we have discovered through Dana's awesome website has been the Currie Barracks Airport Playground.
Increased outdoor play has also increased the loads of laundry going on in our house. I have yet to share an awesome Canadian resource that a friend passed on to me. Lately we have been using Dizolve laundry soap strips. They are biodegradable strips that are chemical free and come in a cardboard box.
The company is passionate about fundraising for ecological causes and Canadian food banks. We have tried both unscented and fresh laundry scent and have enjoyed them both! I would order more but first I want to try and make my own laundry soap... I'll let you know how that goes!
As I write this post I see wee snowflakes starting to fall... come on yyc.... pull yourself together!
